January 29 – 30, 2022: Blacksmithing: Fire Tools for the Home/Shop

This is a techniques based beginning blacksmithing course. Learn to manage a coal forge properly, build your accuracy and strength with a forging hammer, and make a useful but decorative poker and shovel set for your fireplace or home forge. These tools are solid and of much greater quality and durability than anything on the market that is mass manufactured. And you get to build it yourself! We also make two hooks or a two hook rack so that you can hang your tools conveniently.

Class includes safe shop practices, fire management, efficient hammer techniques and basic forging.  All safety equipment and materials provided.
