June 14 – 17, 2021: Blacksmithing: Blacksmith’s Integral Knife Hunter’s Set
This is a during the week evening class for beginning knife makers. No experience is necessary. Students will build from scratch a complete knife in four three hour sessions from 6 PM till 9 PM Monday through Thursday. Shop orientation and safety, proper fire management and hammering techniques will be covered the first evening. The knife blanks will be forged, shaped, rough ground, and hardened by the third evening. Finish grinding and sharpening will be covered on the fourth evening. Each student will make two knives, one skinning knife and one longer boning knife. The goal is for each student to leave with two completed knives.
This is not an ABS class.
Class includes safe shop practices, fire management, efficient hammer techniques and basic forging. All safety equipment and materials provided.

Tuition $249 for the four day, twelve hour course.
Please Note: This course is only open to students 18 years +. No minors will be allowed to participate in the course. IDs may be required for our younger looking participants.
